BUT, when I bought it it was advertised on intergraph's site at 199 US
$. It took about a week to get here. I bought it from Intergraph
Canada, in Calgary. A couple of days before I got it, the price went
down to 149 US $. All those in the US will get a 50$ refund if they paid
the higher price. In Canada, they have not decided yet. So if you order
today, it's still 292.00 $ Can. They can't tell me at this time if I'll
get a refund. So I'd advise you to wait a little yet.
I had MAJOR problems with this card. It locked up windows95 totally. Had
to reinstall from scratch, twice. Their tech support was just GREAT
helping me solve the problems. Eventually they suggested I download a
BIOS upgrade they made available, along with new drivers. The BIOS flash
upgrade KILLED the board. Totally blank screen even when booting.
Apparently they tested the bios flash and it worked, but it killed my
board. So I reinstalled my Dynamite 128 today. I'm returning the board
tomorrow, either for repair ( they send you a new one ), or for a refund
since they probably will NOT give canadians customers the same special
price available to all US buyers.
I'll probably try to find someone in the US willing to buy the board for
me, and then ship it to me. I'm not sure we can order direct from
intergraph in the US, but I doubt it.
Maybe you can try and let me know.
In the meantime, don't pay 292.00. If anybody in the US is willing to
help us here, I would sure appreciate it.
