currently am using geforce2 mx/mx400 to race F1C

Bought MSI FX5600 vtd256 . Installed it and then the fun started. Driver
problems from hell. Only 1 set of drivers work and those are off the MSI
site. Even the drivers in the boxed cd were not working proper with DX9.
No direct3d and couldnt get triangle rate in the F1C 3Dconfig.
Finally the ones I did find resulted in worse framerates then my old
card.major stuttering. Antialiasing off and anisotropic at 0
After 2 days i had enough and took it back .
Heres my question.
For the price of the FX5600 they gave me a credit and Im now looking at
an MSI G4 Ti4200 128mb. I will have enough left over for a new HDD
How is this card By MSI with F1C as it really doesnt matter how it works
with anything else hehe:)

BTW my system is

MSI KT333 Ultra
AMD athlon xp1800+
Soundblaster Audigy Gamer 24bit
crappy 20gb HD

thnx

That's a pretty good best buy card.  I have the same one and have had very
good luck with all my games.
I usually only run 1024x768 and with FSAA set to 2 for everything, it looks
great.

ti4200 is a damn decent card especially for the money u cant beat it.  but
if u wanna spend about $150-175 u can get a decent ti4800 -good
overclockable.  and IMO nvidia rules...dont even bother with ati

Check that your AGP matches up. If your MB needs AGP 4 or 8, then
older cards won't work unless they are at least AGP 4. Be careful,
cause they can have their smoke come out.
