So has the official CART sim gome from Papyrus to MS? If so, I
guess we can kiss working software good-bye.

Where have you been?? :)
Cart Precision Racing is put out by Microsoft.
ICR2 has been repackaged with the 3d tracks as CART RACING.
Papyrus signed a deal a month or so ago that gives them the CART license
through something like 2001. Papyrus has a new CART sim planned for
next spring, after GPL and N3.

Indycar Racing 2 has been repackaged as Cart Racing. Most of the Big stores
like CompUsa or Software Etc have it marked down to 14.99 or even 9.99. the
Cart package has the Win95 version which will probably be the one you get
working with NT but I really can't say...also included are the plain original
dos version and the 3d Rendition version. If you just choose setup the dang
thing will install ALL THREE programs...not good if your tight on HD space.
Each program does have an individual installer
The 3d only works with Rendition 3d cards..but if you have a hot cpu, the
Win95 should be ok...good luck grasshopper, and remember,,,the back end is very
light, the best advice I got was to take out air from the tires...you are slower
down the straights, but you don't loop it comming out of sharp turns..
