> 1> What WC and BGN tracks are NOT included in N3??

The last news we got is that there will be 18 Winston Cup tracks (oops
"Nascar Cup") in Nascar Racing 3.  You can eliminate Daytona for sure. As
for the rest, nobody knows because it's National security, remember :(

Still, they said that there would be Expansion packs in the future, so
expect BGN tracks.  Hopefully with a possible upcoming TRK creator and
TRK>3DO converter, you will be able to build any type of track for any
Papyrus game.

Unsure, but I would speculate the 98 season.  Is there much difference
between 98 and 99 ? Not sure.. Oh yes the Marty pits (no big deal) and
Homestead (would be with the BGN trackpack).

Im 99% sure yes.  Papyrus is well know to stay with the same file
architecture, a .dat with 3do/trk for tracks, mip for graphics, etc..).
Hopefully they will do if they want to give us an open architecture, because
there is some genius who almost know everything now of it.

three questions,

1> What WC and BGN tracks are NOT included in N3??

2> What season will N3 be based on? 99?

3> Is N3 using the same file system as GPL? (mip, seperate 3do for each
driver etc etc etc)

thanks in advance

Tim

Why dont they make a fake Daytona like Dayton in Viper.. Even a track
slightly resembling Daytona would be fine.

Well it's a difficult thing to say...  You know, the tracks have licensing
for their names (Daytona International Speedway) and also their similarity.

The last word is important. Similarity. You can't build a 2.5mile 35(I
think?) degree banked superspeedway with a tri-oval, renamed it to Florida
Orange Speedway, and think it will work.  DIS or Sega of America will slap a
lawsuit on you.

The Viper case is different. Dayton is a real name, and can be considered as
different than Daytona.  And their track is very very different from the
real Daytona. It's not like they only just changed the banking from 35 to
32.  It's a completely different layout (corner radius, corner banking), and
configuration, with the tri-oval on the backstretch.  Graphically it's also
very very different from the real-life track.

Let's just hope that the TRK creator and TRK>3DO converter will make it
reality, so we can build any possible track on any Papyrus software.

You can also bet the Brickyard won't be there, either.

I've never understood this obsession with Daytona, or having the properly
painted car set for that matter.  The difference between Daytona and Talledega
is quite subtle, from a driving standpoint, and how it drives is the ONLY thing
that matters to me.  Of course, I seem to be the only one who feels that way,
so forget I said that at all.

Just from memory, and from what I've seen on TV it seems Daytona is
much more narrow then Talledega. Plus the placement of the start
finish line is different. I don't care what they call it, as long as
it's there.

That's exactly my point.  Since there's only one usable line in N2, the two
differences you've just mentioned are completely meaningless.
