"Insane" Problems....

by BRH » Mon, 27 Aug 2001 10:28:31

Just picked up "Insane" and I'm having a hell of a time configuring the
controller setting.  First off, in the menu system, the cursor jumps
around from item to item and I have to time my pressing of the "enter"
key in order to make the right selection.  (Isn't there any mouse
support?)

Second, Although the controller menu seems to detect that I have 2
controllers active (LWFF on ID#1 and TSW peds on ID#2), it doesn't allow
me to select the LWFF to steer -- onlt the TSW.  It does, however, allow
me to select the LWFF paddle shifters to use in gear changes.  Strange.

Can anyone shed some light on how to stop the cursor from jumping around
and/or making the selections I want for controllers?

Is there a patch somewhere?

Thanks!

set for single axis on lwff (combined axis) in insane. you have to do that
to get it to work

Bert... you need to set combined axis on your LWFF pedals to stop the menus
from acting up, even if you use the keyboard to drive.

To my knowledge this game does not support multiple controllers.

As an aside, I found the wheel support and the FF in this game very
disappointing and switched back to keyboard in the end.

Email thier support and tell them what wheel you have, and they'll send you a
registry file to make the game see your controler. They did for me on my 2
wheels anyway.
