Could someone please post or mail me their setups for Indianapolis and
Phoenix?  I have a wild push at both tracks and can't get rid of it no
matter what I do, or so it seems,  I have tried more and less wing, up the
stagger, less tire pressure, stiff and loose shocks, less steering lock,
and nothing seems to work.  Please Help ME!!!!!

Thank you.

At Indy it usually helps to slow down before turn 1 and 3. Once the fuel
is down
to about 15 gallons you can stay on the gas. The line is tough to find,
though.
That is all with the ACE setup, unmodified. I got to 222.103mph that way.

Phoenix? No idea - I have run less than 30 laps there.

How is that possible?!  I've tried doing everything to my car at Indy and I
can't seem to get past 208mph-213mph.  No matter what line I try.  I've
never actually thought to let go of the gas, I mean, my tires screeching
slow me down enough.  :)

BTW: What driving medium are you using?  Keyboard?  T1?

Ford/XB engine and Lola9300 chassis (or 9400 if you are using the
cars94.dat) is one thing - Buuick engine will give you even more power.

Then you need to AVOID the tire screeching, since it does slow you down,
as
you said. The default ACE setup is well balanced for a medium fuel load,
so
for the highest speeds you may even be able to take some rear wing out.
Once
your back end comes around you know you are too low ;-)). The tires,
pressure
and camber seem to be dialed-in quite well. I like slighly stiffer shocks
to
have a bit more precise steering input (I use a Gravis joystick, DON'T
drive
with the keyboard: it sucks!). The rest of gettig good speed is really
your
line thru the corners. I started out with 215mph laps, and got to 218
pretty
fast. But breaking 220 took a while. Getting a 4-lap average above 220 is
tough.
I usually start qualifying at 218.xxx and get faster in lap 2. I heard
of somebody on the Papyrus BBS claiming a 226.xxx lap speed. Maybe there
is
a totally different way of running it. Stagger? Maybe that's the secret -
works
for me on tight ovals.
