Hi

I wonder if there is any motorbike
game out there that could give your
a good sense of acceleration that
is often associated with these powerful
bikes ?

Best regards

The upcoming World SBK 2000 from EA Sports and GP500 from Microprose will be
well worth a look.  There's a playable demo of GP500 available now, but I
don't think either of them are due for release till a few months down the
line.

Until then, if you haven't got one already, get out and buy a bike and feel
the acceleration for yourself :-)

where'd you get the word about SBK2k?  i'd like to see proof that its actualy in
the making (post, ea release, etc).  I love this game to bits, and would love to
see another one come out.

IMO no there is not. EA's SBK is the best so far. Maybe the upcoming
AMA game will do it.

Hi,
I only have the SBK demo but.....
The sense of speed in GP500 is excellent IMHO.
Also the actual feel is quite good.
It simulates front end wash out very well &
head shake coming off grass is good too.
Overall I felt this was the closest to a real
sportbike feel in a sim yet.

I couldn't disagree more. It feels like I'm driving underwater.

Hmmm, I haven't seen either of those ... I've turned off all driver
adds as far as I know, and it just seems too easy and steady.

Hi Joe,
        Wow that is surprising.
I don't know I guess we have the same demo?
The semse of speed is far greater on GP500 on mine.
As for aids? Well not too many but manual shift, brakes & man Full lean.
I wonder if hardware makes that big a difference?
Im on a 450PII with 128MB Sdram & 12MB V2 card.
Although that wouldnt explain the lack of head shake.
Unless the fact that I have full detail on everywhere?
Hmmm odd though that you dont see the front wash out
or head shake. Also what you say about SBK makes me wonder
I only have the demo but its great. But after time trialing
in GP500 when I go to SBK the sense of speed is so much slower.
If I can find the full version I will get it. Because as I said it
looks great. But Software Etc was out this week.
Cya,
        Mike

I may still have leaning on auto, I can't remember ... I'll check and
get back to you. Perhaps that accounts for our different experiences.
