Hi guys and gals

I have been racing gp2 for about a month with a ch products virtual pilot
pro and ch pedals(a great inexpensive combo).  I have finally gotten down
to 1:26 at Monza and want to know what I am missing because I see times of
1:20 at Pieters place.  Are these low times using an editor or do I suck
that bad?  I do not race leagues so any info given will not be used against
you!

                                        Thanks in advance

I hate to saw it m8 nut its you that suck and not that other people
are cheating.  I use a T2 and can get 1:21.031 as my best lap!!!

Thanks,

Andrew.

I have same setup.  monza 1:23.7   automatic trans.
I still can't keep in mind the gears change fast enough at this speed.
Maybe you should try this first. it  makes it a little easier.

Also, download a few hotlaps, extract performance analysis, and do a
foreground/background exam. You'll likely see later braking in chicanes,
earlier throttle in chicanes, and other stuff, top speed etc.
look at the replay and compare driving lines.

My 1:23.7 with auto is good enough for near top qualifying spot at pro
level, but I can't keep Alesi behind very long. He allways finishes
first. That does not look very random.

But others are much faster in hotlaps, with manual transmission too.
So we both still suck to a point. No, I don't think thay are cheating.
You can view those hot laps.
How they get so much grip around Parabolica and still get top speed in
straights is beyond me.
What is your top speed ?  It is important at Monza.
Main thing is : are you having fun ?

I just installed Yamaha 10 W. speakers with surround sound. Wow

No rear wing and soft anti-roll bar is the secret of success
Dampers should be very soft in order to run on curb
and of couse you must run as low as possible

By adjusting your setup, you will get to around 1:22
By using manual shift gear change will give you another 1 sec or 2

No those low time aren't becuase or editor or anything and you right
it because you do suck that bad.

1:26 won't be anywhere close to Schumi  in pro [perhaps not even in
semi-pro]. You will have to do about 1:22 to beat those cars in Ace

I'm getting 1:21.8xx at Monza using the Keyboard and automatic
transmission. Is that good or are people getting better times using the
same configuration?

I got the same time, 1:21.890 with the same configuration,
but I think I still got some room for improvement.
There is one place that definately will gain some time -
the second slow chicane [sorry forgot the name of this corner]
fly over the curb. I saw some one did that and had 1:20.x
It's [the replay] in GP2 Racing Leadge, I think.

Regards

Chris
