GP2 Only Starts Once

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone can help me with a little problem I am having
running GP2 at the moment. It seems that the first time I run the sim
everything is fine and I can run it no problem. However, once i've exited
out I ahve to restart the PC before I can get it to run again. If I try to
run it a second time without restarting I just get a blank screen up and the
gaem won't start.. got an idea this may be a sound problem but not sure
exactly what.

Anyone have any clues... I'm running it under Windows 98 SE by the way.
After it has run once even dropping out to DOS won't enable me to run it
aagin without a restart.

I can't solve this, but a couple of points to consider.  GP2 _does_ run
fine under Win98SE - probably better than any other Windows OS imv.
This sounds more like a driver issue.  I would first suspect the sound
configuration - check the setting used under Windows (Control Panel\
Devices) and use the same IRQ,address and DMA for GP2 - run setup.exe to
check this.  Finally (and a very long shot) in case this is a VESA
issue, try running with VGA graphics rather than SVGA graphics and see
if that helps with a restart.
