Well David I will tell you from experience (since I race real race cars)
that you don't get the feeling of driving a sim like you do racing a real
race car... you can feel the race car get loose or being tight... you
can't feel that from a sim... you can't feel the speed from a sim either
so it's pretty hard sometimes for braking. I can't say that my setup are
the best for everybody.. but I know that by telling someont that if you
car is doing this you need to do that and when your car is doing that you
need to do this is pretty useful. You don't think that the video won't
help you...don't buy it... but for ppl that haven't been racing (in real
life) or using the sim for a long time... it might be very useful.
BTW can you friend win everyrace on Hawaii??? what makes you think that he
can???? I'm sure that he can help the averae Joe...and I'm sure he could
help me setting up my car for road courses.
Also, I don't know if you follow F1 but during the last race of the year
last year they showed a new F1 simulator that will come out soon (not sure
of the name of the sim) and Jacques Villeneuve was one of the guys that
tested the sim.... the best he ever did on the sim was a 17th place...
does that mean he can't drive a f1??? Don't think so... just that it takes
a while to get use to not feeling the car from the seat of your pants
Well that is all for my $0.02,
Sylvain
