International video*** news site, The Magic Box, is reporting that
the next game in the Gran Turismo series will call PS3 its home.

Kazunori Yamauchi, a producer at Polyphony Digital, the creators of
the GT series, mentioned that GT4 will be the last Gran Turismo game
on the PS2, and that their next effort would be on the PS3.
The GT series continues to produce some of the most defining games on
Sony *** systems. GT and GT2 saw great popularity on the original
PlayStation. When PS2 was released, GT3 was one of the most popular
games of its time. GT4, on schedule to be released later this year, is
promising to be the most realistic and graphically beautiful racing
games ever. One can only imagine what they will do on the PS3.

No kidding?

Were they going to retire the series after GT4?

Or not have a GT game on the PS3?

I heard differently.  From a source I'd rather not mention here, it's not
GT5 on a PS3 but GT12 on a PS6.

You weren't paying close enough attention, it's GTA12 on the PS6.
