You make some good points.

I'm not sure why, but my biggest problem in GPL is not slowing down enough
for corners. When I am at the correct speed and take the corner perfectly it
never subjectively feels as though I took it quickly enough. A particular
example is Club corner at Silverstone - I really have to force myself to
take that corner slowly enough, so as to not understeer off.

Me too...

The physics may be right, but they just aren't transmitted well to the
driver :(

A lot like flying a radio controlled helicopter.  Anyone in here who has
been/is in that suicidal hobby knows what I'm talking about :)

You are making hundreds of tiny, minute control corrections, and yet the
heli isn't giving you any feedback at all because you are not in it.

Makes it quite a challange, I'll tell ya!

Never done that, but I see your point. And it does sound somewhat
suicidal- ever, in a state of unpreparedness, have the thing come
right at ya?

I've often wished some sort of stylized 3-axis "G" force indicator was
available for us. I know that the actual drivers didn't have such a
thing... but then, we don't get the most important physical feedback
real drivers get from inertial forces.
