In a surprise move, Microsoft have released a hyper-realistic motor racing
simulation featuring their ever popular purple puppet, Barney as chief
technician and super pilot of an F1 Ferrari. "This will knock the diapers off
girly sim like Grand Prix Legends", claimed Llib Setag, the Project manager of
the Barney F1 project, "and it will sell millions as well". MS Barney Goes
Racing will be released as part of Windows 99 which is due for release in 2003.
In response, racing software house, Papyrus, have lauched a anti-trust case
against Microsoft in the Federal courts, claiming that it is anti-competitive to
release this joke as part of their operating system. Microsoft's defence seems
to rest on the fact that all their operating systems are jokes anyway.
Cheers and a happy April Fools,
Paul

It was confirmed today that Bill Gates will subsitute for the injured Luca
Badoer in the Minardi for the Brazillian F1GP next week.

After practising for hours on end with the ultra realistic MS Cart
Precision Racing he feels ready to take on the world's best drivers.

The Minardi team have offered the seat for an undisclosed amount of money,
but rumours surfacing suggest the team will now be called the Microsoft
Minardi Y2K OK! team for many years to come.  The team have spent most of
the day installing Windows 98 onto their computers, and predict big things
from the change.

Speaking to team management, many feel they now have the last elements
required to become a winning team - Bill Gates & Windows 98.  The software
run by the team now should run faster and make the car perform better than
ever.

Other teams contacted about the news last night, shrugged off this high
talking, instead laying bets as to how many restarts would be required in
Brazil on Sunday.

Too bad he smashed into the wall when trying to push the ctrl-alt-del buttons
on his steering wheel when his head up display showed an abort, retry error at
300KPH.
