How much horsepower has the PLAYER car got in free practise, qualifying and=
 race respectively?

In qualifying you get 790 bhp, in al other session 780. Those are
maximum values, normally you will get slightly lower values every time
you leave the pits. These differences are in the range of 1 to 2 bhp
or so.

Thanks. I just discovered that for a week now, i have been using 790 BHP in=
 free practice and 780 BHP in qual & race due to a bug in GP2 Editor v2.12

Do you actually find changing the BHP works ?

Even if I whack up the team's BHP to 900+, I find my car does not go any
quicker, but my teammate AI car goes like a bomb !

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong !

Have you checked all options in the 'Import & Export' menu?

Got it working now, using gp2edw.exe v1.1

The player's car is simply "the player's car", no matter what team you choose.
I'm sure one of the editors provides the possibility to change the player's car
BHP.
