I downloaded the highest res photos I could from MSTerraserver and did some
playing.

Basically, it's a modern satellite photo with an inset showing the GPL map
superimposed over the modern map.  Gives you a good idea of what happened to
the course.  Most of it is still there but the last turn "Pulleveld" got
converted to condos or something.

I hope they put spa back on Terraserver some day so I can play with that!
Until then, maybe I'll upgrade my Watkins Glen pic with an inset.

excellent!  i think we need one of these for each of the gpl tracks!

i played in a football competition at zandy in 1996.  those condo's
are hundreds of little houses, containing the happy campers.  the
rectangular areas to the right, inside the old track, are the footy
pitches.  you could hear the cars whizzing around the new track while
playing footy.

i have walked along tunnel oost, but didn't know it at the time.  i
think i'll have to go back and pay my respects properly.

its all kinda sad really.
