N99 CD crack??

Since when do you need the CD to play NR1999?  I play it without the CD all the
time!  Just make sure you do a full install.

        Why don't you just buy a used copy?  Heck, you can find it
ANYWHERE for about $20 bucks shipped.  I just bought a copy for $23
SEALED.
        MUCH as it pains me to inform you: you ONLY need the CD if you
didn't do the full install, or if you want to play online.
        Just get him to buy another copy: I have 2 and made 2 of my
buddies buy their own.

hmmm... I did the full install and when I launched N99 without the Cd,
all I got was the intro video before the game crashed to my desktop...
Is your supposition only true when you start the game in DOS mode or
should you be able to start the game without the cd in Windows also?

        The problem's not with the install, then. You seem to have
another problem.  Any "no CD" crack wouldn't fix your problem.  UNLESS
playing online, my NR99 CD never goes into my computer anymore.

Any idea what that problem might be? I use the shortcut created by the
install program. Do you use N1999 in a Windows environment? If that's
the case, which file do you use to start the game? I use NR19993D.BAT
(my shortcut points to that file). I tried some of the other files and
it doesn't work. What do you think?

        Can't remember off the top of my head... I click directly on
an icon though - NOT a .bat file.  I think it's NR19993DFXWin.exe (or
something like that).  Do you see the multiplayer option when you
start it up? If so, you're using the DOS .exe and not the Win .exe.

do a full install
then use nr1999.bat to start game
54 meg file called nr1999.smk may be deleted
    it's the opening video

this works for me
