How to get louder sound in MGPRS2 please?

As I have observed, the problem is that when MGPRS2 loads the WAV file
volume goes to half scale. Since the SBLive is not linear in volume
control this effectively kills the game play sounds. My solution is do a
<Alt> <Enter> when I get to the first MGPRS2 Options Menu, double click
on the Speaker Icon in the ToolTray, drag the WAV file volume control
back up to full, and return to MPPRS2. While the music volume is still a
bit out of balance, the WAV volume is much closer in intensity so that
you can adjust your speaker volume down so as not to be blown out of your
seat when the music plays. Hope this helps ...

How to get louder sound in MGPRS2 please?

I know it's supposed to be realistic but it's way too quiet. I've just got
back into this game and went through the complete 99 Season update from the
Unofficial MGPRS2 page but the sound is terrible. If you wack your audio up
too much then when the track is loading the sound blows you out your seat
but when the race starts it's as if your 5 miles down the road listening to
it. I tried increasing the audio volume a bit for the two Cosworth wave
files which seemed to be the car sound using the sound editor from the same
source but it didn't seem to make a lot of difference. I've got an SBLive!
and 4 point surround and the latest Liveware 2.0 drivers. Any help
appreciated. Sorry if this has been done to death at an earlier stage but
I've been off the scene for awhile.

Use the Windows volume control (or whatever comes with the SB Live) to
reduce the volume of the CD-audio relative to the 'Wave' and 'Synth'
volumes.

Then, you can turn your speakers up and not be blasted across the room when
the tracks load!
