I just finished unpacking the sound.dat file in nascar2 to hear what
all was in there. Theres one file of the spotter saying " you drove
your ass off; someone go out there and pick it up". After that you can
hear him say that he threw that one in at no charge. I just thought it
was kind of funny that they left it in there. There is also several (15
or so) wav files from the spotter/crew chief that I have never heard in
the game. I also tried to change the "ok your clear of pit lane" wav to
my own voice but when I run the game it just makes loud beeps instead
of playing my voice. I'm sure it revolves around the sample rate. If
anyone else finds out how to sucessfully change the wav files in here
please post it. It would be nice to have a SPOTTER and a CREW CHIEF
voice instead of it all being the same voice.

  -or-

"When you get a couple of hours, you can explain what you did
that for!!"...  ;)

Hi,
One thing I want to know is how we go about getting our free
dinner!  I won a race at Darlington and the spooter said "You just won
yerself a race, dinners on me!".  So, the next time I go out for
dinner, should I just mail the check to Sierra? :)

Hi John,
Just call Sierra and place your dinner order. "You'll be amoung the first to
enjoy the fabulous dinner!" They are planning to ship dinners with the NCR2
patch sometime in early to mid 1997. Dinners subject to availability after
the retail dinners are shipped.<BG>

I don't fault Sierra for shipping Nascar2 to the retail stores ASAP. I do
fault them for not temporarily doubling the recources they applied to
getting the pre-orders out. Kind of a slap in the face to thier most loyal
fans.

Don't forget to ask for 2nd-Day Air delivery!!  ;)

Actually, the food idea isn't original, when MicroProse prepared
to release GP2 they sent out a breakfast to all participating in
a "Journalists Race-Off"...The breakfast consisted of the following:

-begal w/ cream cheese
-apple
-bannana
-Tiger "Power Bar"
-bib
-toothbrush

All came Same-Day delivery and were there ontime...and chilled!!  :)
