Yep. If you play with the groups of numbers in DRIVERS.TXT, specificaly
the fourth pair of 3 digit numbers, you'll see a difference. At 999 they
get very territorial!
I have seen some improvement with patch 1.2, but I am also using an
edited version of the drivers2.txt file. At Darlington it is much
harder to pass as there is only one fast groove (for me that is) around
this monster of a track. In the old days, I just had to fly up behind
someone coming into a turn and they would drift up allowing me to go
under them. Now I have to dog them until they miss the groove on their
own. Whenever I come up on a pack of back-markers it is really
difficult to get around them as they are battling amongst themselves and
don't care that I want to get around them (I guess they are color blind
and can't see that blue flag waving!).
At Bristol I have gone lap after lap door-handle to door-handle thru the
corners with drivers (I am on the inside). They just don't want to give
up until I really get them jump on them coming into a turn (or use
slower traffic to block them).

I haven't noticed much of a difference other then being pegged off
by another car a few times. Alothough I have noticed that cars that are a lap
behind try to stay more out of the way.
Well, it's a simulation of the real NASCAR world, they "repaved" the
track. Here is the setup I now use at Darlington. I run NASCAR in SVGA
using the Thrustmaster T1.
Fuel: 18 gallons 1st Gear: 9.80
Wheel Lock: 8 degrees 2nd Gear: 6.90
Stagger: +1.500 inches 3rd Gear: 4.40
4th Gear: 3.60
Air Dam: 3.5 inches
Rear Spoiler: 70 degrees
Left Bias: 1900 pounds or 54.29%
Rear Bias: 1815 pounds or 51.86%
Cross Weight: -5 pounds or 49.86%
TIRE PSI CAMBER SHOCK
Right Front 50 -2.60 30%
Right Rear 51 ----- 60%
Left Rear 50 ----- 45%
Left Front 40 +0.20 80%
