Microprose neglecting development

OK, I have finally gotten used to the thought that Microprose won't ever
develop GP2 any further than it is today. Then we obviously will have to
change tactics to have a game to enjoy for many a year:
We have to patch and work with the game until it is more or less
complete (we want an occasional shower during a full length race, blue
flags, stop/start penalties, rain tires, oil and debris on the track,
less grip after a visit in the sand trap and so on!!!). One way to get
going would be to break into the microprose building, stealing all the
source-code for GP2. With this code available the hackers around the
globe would produce marvels within a week. We could coordinate the
finalisation of the game from this (or even better a new ng:
"rec.autos.simulators.GP2develop") NG. In fact I would be delighted to
lead the project!

If microprose has no will to develop the game, they should certainly not
deny us the possibility of developing the game on our own!!!

To get down to the handfast plans, who lives around the Microprose
programming center? Someone will have to grab some responsibility and
initiative, won't we?

PS: Just one final idea: What about adding code that sends data out
through the serial ports that describes the forces involved influencing
the steering wheel? This way, it would be easy to make forced feedback
systems that could make this sim as close to the real thing as possible
(imagine hitting the kerb hard, feeling the impact through the steering
wheel. What about feeling oversteer/understeer through the wheel,
noticing slip long before you can hear it?). I find this thought very
intriguing if not mind boggling...

Opinions expressed hereby are my employers and not mine, I repeat; not
mine...
Or was it the other way around? Hmm...

Isn't it great that there are still people around who can dream like a child?
