Now, isn't this "technique" illegal, at least in the States?
I remember that, a few weeks before Windows95 (another program with multiple
release dates) was released, I heard that they were forced to release it
because otherwise other companies might sue them for advertising something
that didn't exist (or definitely wasn't ready to be shipped).
I also read that this rushed release was one of the reasons why Win95 had
(still has?) so many bugs.

Grand Prix 2 is definitely going to be released on June 28. I know this
because a friend of mine knows Phil McDonnell The lead tester of GP2. He
also said that the game will definitely not feature weather as they would
have trouble getting that done before Christmas.
He also apologised for the release dates they have set and said that they
were never going to be met but were only to take business away from the
other sims.

A friend of mine told me that the CD-Production of the first series of
cd's is nearly complete and that the games will be shipped by the end
of next week!

God knows. For me this wasn't really the point. Just a different story
was a nice change from the usual stuff!! That was what I was meaning
about an "improvement".
