I heard of Radio Five Live (UK) last night that M. Schumacher uses racing sims to practice and learn circuits (along with airline pilots practicing new approaches with MS flight sim).

With Schumacher, Montoya and probably others using these things am I the only one to wonder what their lap times are?

Does anybody know Schumacher's address?  I think I'll send him a copy of GPL, GP3 and Viper Racing.  N4 would probably bore him to death.

I wonder if he races online...

I franky would be VERY suprised if they regularly raced
online.  TIME is a huge commodity to a modern racer and
they just wouldn't have time for restarts, poor connections,
race wreckers....I really can't see them even using the AI
very much...they are using the sims for ONE reason..to
learn a track...not to race us computer geeks.

I seem to remember someone called Juan Montoya on VROC a few times about a
year ago - but then again, anyone can call themselves whatever they like, so
it may not have been the "real" one (or maybe someone else with the same
name...).

Jacques Villeneuve plays games over the internet all the time. In an F1
magazine, Damon Hill interviewed him pre-season, and Jacques said that he
had recently played a game online for over 22 hrs straight - I also read
that that was the reason Danni Minogue dumped him, because in his spare time
he would rather play games than spend time with her! I get the feeling it
wasnt racing sims, but hey...

I remember reading this several months ago.  I vaguely remember coming away with the impression that the sim he's using isn't available commercially - it's something that was developed for the team.
