Over-clocking the CPU???HELP.

by York Stude » Sat, 27 Jul 1996 04:00:00

Recently there were a couple of articles in this group talking about
over-clocking the CPU and get better performance from the CPU. What
exactly does this mean?

My guess is to set the jumpers in the motherboard to a setting that is
faster than the actual CPU speed (e.g. set it to 133 Mhz instead of
100Mhz on the motherboard for a P 100). Is this right? Anyone out there
has some long term experience in this. Please e-mail or reply on this
group. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks a million in advance.
