Has anyone bought this new chip using the same mbo you had for your older
one
And if so, how is the performance increase for N4

does it use the same socket?  IT is a smaller thickness chip with copper
instead of aluminum traces  will it work with regular PIII mbs?

it is called the tualatin, and needs a new Mobo, haven't tried it yet, and
if it needs a new mobo might aswell get a P4 then.....

Bad news for you both, the new P3 needs a NEW mobo, it won't operate
with any current generation mobos. The typical Intel style...

Since a new mobo and cpu would be needed, you'd be much better off
going for an Athlon system, more bang for less bucks. :)
