Advice for 1st time FF user ?!

Hey everyone, I FINALLY made the jump to FF. Momo racing wheel by Logitech.
Can you guys shed some light as to how to set this up to be as "real" as
possible?? I generally play......F12002 mods....(M3, GTR, Mini....the likes)
the FIAGT v3, SC pack for F12001, Nascar series....F1C (M3 more than F1).
What should I have my settings at?? Should they be set in my control panel
wheels settings, the games or both?? At default settings, the wheel seems
rather heavy.......or is this cuz I'm new?? anways....thanks for helping me
out.

There are a lot of interesting tweaks out there to do different things, but
before you get too elaborate try the following simple settings and see what
you think:

EA F1 Series:
Speed sensitivity = 0%
X axis sensitivity = 50%
X axis deadspot = 0%
FF type = wheel
FF effects = low or none
FF strength = -60%  (note the minus sign, i.e. it the slider should be to
the left of 0)

Nascar Racing Series:
Linearity = 100%
Strength = 60% for roadies, higher for speedways
Damping = 30%
Latency = 30 msec

In both cases these are all in-game settings.  I don't like fooling around
with control panel settings because it affects all games.  I also have not
found it necessary to use the Wingman Profiler for newer games, I only use
it for older games that don't have good FF.  Lastly, note that the
linearity/sensitivity settings are very important, they do affect how the FF
strength varies with speed and angle.  If you can't use linear steering you
will probably have to resort to more *** settings to get it to feel
right.

Changing the strength in-game has no effect on my Momo Racing (or my
friend's Momo Force)  I have to set it in the control panel and, yeah,
around 60% feels best to me.  The polarity in-game does make a differnce
though.  Positive feels so wrong. :)
