Most game companies do. It's a good idea as you know that you have a copy reserved for
you and you don't have to rush out to the store to make shure that you get one.
The thing that is really cheesy is that Papyrus said that the Dos/Win95 patch would be
downloadable and we would have to pay for it. Guess what? In a quote from both Ed and
Rick "It will be available at the end of the month in stores." As far as I'm concerned
the store will make me pay. I would like to ask Ed or Rick if they were originally
going to release it for download but is Sierra forcing you to put it out in stores.
They are known for making vaporware. As in Front Page Sports the inly upgrade from the
'95 version to the '96 was the graphics. The AI was improved only a little, the
graphics for the menu's and playing field where improved, but that's all. And they
charged $50 for that. Unless you had the '95 version you paid $35. But still I would
expect a lot more than graphics and AI to pay full price. Just my 2 cents.
