Now, I don't want to get off on a rant here, but just what the hell
has happened to this newsgroup?  Used to, I'd come in here, find some
great cars, files, or other add ons for N1, ICR2, and various and
assundry other auto racing sims.  But now, I can't come here without
hearing some dipshit blather on and on about things that are horribly
meaningless, and are nothing more than a waste of bandwidth.  If
you've got a problem with someone, then email THEM, spam THEM, become
a horrendous nusance to THEM, and leave the rest of us who are trying
to make the Sim racing community a spiffier place to hang out ALONE.
So, with that in mind, let me address a few of the "issues" that seem
to be eating up space in this newsgroup, and running off people who
could very well add talented help to increading everyone's enjoyment
of the varouls racing sims:

1. NASNET--I dont' give a shit, and neither does anyone else.  Want it
to shut down?  Don't go there.  Let other people make thier own
decisions.

2. Papyrus--They didn't rip you off.  They're doing their best to
navigate their way through a sargasso sea of toadstools, aka the legal
system to get rights to bring you tracks, cars, and other spiffy
things to enhance the sim racing world.  Hell, I'm prould to have
NASCAR Racing.  I can remember when the most world renowned racing sim
was "Pole Position".

3.  "Posted Tracks"--Piracy is piracy.  If your posting tracks that
shouldn't be out there, then your breaking the law.  It makes people,
such as the Sim Project and BB&B, who are creating legitimate tracks
(with copies sent to Papyrus and Sierra) in a bad spot, as Sierra and
Papyrus have to crack down on track creation.

4.  YMenard---YMenard, just sit down and shut the hell up, okay?

5.  People acting geneally like asses---Go somewhere else.  Leave
those of us trying to work on our favorite sims alone.  Let us do our
work without having to work our way around you dipshits who want to
run various organisatons into the ground.  Go away.  You're beginning
to***us off.

So basically, that's it.  I, for one, am sick and ***y tired of all
the BS.  We're high on crap, low on info here.  Let's get rid of the
people wanting to spam everybody who looks at them funny, and get back
to the basics, which is to paint race cars, race hard, and brag about
stuffing Jeff Gordon in the wall.

Of course, that's just my opinion......I could be wrong.

The Badman is absolutely right.  This group was set up to assist sim
drivers in finding what they want to enhance their sims, and to assist
those new to PC racing.

Give it a rest !
