Well I have to say that the Papyrus online network is the most fun I
have had since slot car racing back in the 60's!!!! But I really don't
won't 2 and can't afford to own AT&T. So for now it will just have
to be racing with AI. I would pay 20 dollars a month to be able to
race on line 20 hours a month and 2.50 an hour for each additional
hour, but this is crazy and I just can't figure out a way to tell my
wife how important this really is!!! See on the track when I can get
enough SPONSER money to afford the long distance!!!

That's too expensive. Don't give them such ideas. Papyrus; He meant 10
a month for 20 hours and .50 an hour after that. Honest he did. :-)

Are there any plans to make the software available for other BBS's to set up for
multiplayer Nascar racing? That would be very nice, unless Papyrus is planning on adding
more link sites across the USA. Just wondering.

Allowing "race servers" to be located throughout the country (or even in other
countries for our UK and Canadian friends), might be one of the things they are
looking at... but would they make enough money on that?
Maybe so... If the overhead of LD wasn't in the picture,

we would pay less
and Papyrus could make more
and Ma Bell wouldn't have to get her hands in it!

Papy could get a percentage of the local "service"... Hmmmmmm

The down side: We would be limited to local racers. That would get old if there
were only 5 or 6 in a calling zone who raced :-( -- so the national version
could be still available for those with the cash and the desire. Some of the
fun is racing with someone from out of town! :-)

Just so you know - I don't have any inside scoop.... just thinking of what might
happen. And holding my breath until it does. ;-/

Every time I log on I try to get a race going in Phoenix, but it never happens
- nobody joins. :-(

If I was going to race with only 2, I'll call up someone local. <same
grin>
Sunday, I saw 4 Talladega races and 2 Atlanta races on the "race board"

Maybe the only way we will get to run the other tracks is to join a league
and run a series. New track every week. - or maybe (joy of joys) two
tracks in one day? :-)

Yeah, me too. I might not WIN, but it'd be a LOT cheaper<g>

FOUR races at Tally?!? I guess I've learned to tune them out.
I ran four races Sunday night. 2 at Martinsville, one at Atlanta, one at
Talladega. Fun, except for a few ***s(see other post).
