HELP!!! Thrustmaster"SUPER SPORT" problems

by Cary Martynui » Mon, 14 Dec 1998 04:00:00

I recently purchased the THRUSTMASTER "SUPER SPORT" wheel and pedal
unit, and I am having a major problem already. I calibrate everything
exactly as instructed, and the unit seems to work fine in any WINDOWS 95
based games (F1RS, GPL, Colin McRae Rally, etc....).

The problem arises when I try to play a game that is DOS based (such as
GP2, EuroPress Rally Championship, etc....). No matter what the hell I
do, (I try to run the game off the DOS prompt in WINDOWS) the brake
pedal will not be recognized at all!! All the other inputs work fine
(throttle, shift gears, left and right) but the brake pedal may as well
not even be there.

I have tried using TMSCOPE at the DOS prompt as well, and all the
inputs are fine EXCEPT for the brake!!!

        Can anyone please help me?

I ran in to the same problem when I tried to use my CH pedals with my Nascar
Pro wheel. I had to set it up as a TM1 w/out adapter and it works that way
fine. See if that will help. Will_H

In a pure DOS environment the Super Sport puts the gas and brake pedals
on separate axes.  If the DOS program does not support this, it will not
recognize the brake pedal.  I do know that GP2 will allow for separate
axes for the pedals.  for TMScope to see the Super Sport, select your
hardware profile for nothing or the NASCAR Pro with separate pedals.
