"Please enter code found on back of CD Case??"

by Lomceva » Sun, 02 Apr 2000 04:00:00

I just purchased F1-2000, but upon installing, a msg prompt pops up saying:
"Please enter code found on the back of the CD Case. Spaces are required"
Well, I don't see anything printed on the back of my CD Case!?!?! other than
the command summary and the text saying Prove You Can Handle the F1 Hot
Seat... Can anyone help me... my local EA tech support office (SIngapore)
doesn't open until Monday, so can anyone help me? If you can, perhaps you
could send me the code so I can run this sim? For verification I can quote
either the s/no on the CDR or any box number you need... Pls mail me if u
can help....

The code is on the back of the CD in the very bottom left corner. It should be
fairly obvious with characters about 3mm tall. Mine has five numbers followed by
four words.
I have found that with many games, giving someone your code will not allow you
to play that game online.
Are you sure you have an official EA version?
Maybe this can help you. http://www.gamecopyworld.com/

Good luck
Lutrell

Apparently the factory in singapore made a mistake and forgot to
attach the stickers with the codes. My local shop says it will take
a few days to sort out the mess.

Lom,
Did you get a pirate copy?
They just hit the shelves over in JB.

No Jens, I bought the boxed version. Anyway, after a quick phone
call to EA Tech Support, I'm up and running. Turns out that
local version wasn't supposed to ship with the CD code, so the
cases didn't have the code printed. However, the CDs were
encoded, hence the problems. It seems to have affected only the
first few batches. Anyway, things are peachy now! Runs great!!!

PS. FYI, the pirated version is 0.915...
