I finally bit the bullet and bought enough parts to upgrade my old Celeron
300A/450.  I bought an Asus A7N8X-Deluxe mobo which uses the new Nvidia2
chipset.  What I have since learned is that the sound and perhaps also the
USB drivers for this mobo absolutely WILL NOT work with Windows 98 Gold,
even tho the CD and also Asus's website have Win98 drivers.  I doubt Win98SE
will work either, but don't know for sure.

One of the main reasons I bought this board was to get the six channel
sound, so as a result I have also had to order XP.  More $$$.

This doesn't seem to be widely known, so I thought I would post it here.

After spending all this money, I hope GTR2002 is as good as you guys say it
is...
