Well, the money is available so I'm making the move....here's what is my near
future...  please provide input, suggestions, comments, and possible pitfalls.

Intel 333 Mhz PII
Intel AL440LX AGP, ATX motherboard
128MB SDRAM DIMM memory
8.4gb Ultra ATA Hard Drive
Matrox Millennium II 8mb AGP (will be replaced by 8mb AGP Thriller)
DVD Rom w/decoder
Soundblaster AWE64 Gold
Altec Lansing ACS-45 spkrs w/subwoofer
USR Sportster 56K x2 modem
21" MAG DJ920
3.2gb Tapestor backup

Whole package $4357.  I could wait until the 100mhz bus boards hit around May
but....you keep waiting...there will always be something hot coming out.

I would *highly* advise stopping by www.tomshardware.com and check out his
article on the 333 processor. From what he tested, I would recommend a MB
that allows overclocking. He clocked it to 419Mhz with absolutely no heat
problems.

I would just make sure the LX board is something like the Abit LX6. That way
your don't have to wait for the BX chipset to get that 100Mhz bus!

Have you thought about a Diamond M80(PCI) sound card? Also try a external
modem, you should have fewer problems if you can keep from using any ISA
cards. How about a cheep IDE CD-R Drive ($320) or 2gb Iomega Jazz drive
insted of the tape backup.

Get a SCSI CD-R if you get one... or a CDRW if you can afford it... then you
can use both CDRW's for backups, and CDR's for permanent burns.
