Hi Richard,
You should use ICQ to see if people you *already* know are
online. You would then talk to them about setting up a game.

VROC requires Netscape and some more setting up.
The Grandstand, however, will work on any brower.
Just enter you name at the top and choose 'connect'.
Talk to other racers and get the IP address from the host.
You can press the Yellow button under the chat box
to see messages left by people hosting games --- check
the time they say they will be up. I use the GPL NetAgent
to tell me if a GPL game is at a particular IP address.
