anyone using one of these, I saw a 19" at Circuit City
looked pretty awesome and what really got me the low 12ms response time?

I have one. The Sony SDM-HS94P. It's very nice!

Is that an LCD monitor? If so, do you play GPL? I just***a benq LCD
monitor and the 'replay' and 'best time' screens flicker like crazy and also
do not fit onto the screen width-wise. Do (or did) you have the same
problem?

Yes, its an LCD and I play GPL. I don't have any of the issues you describe.
I first bought a 19" Samsung, it had a response time of 16ms and I was
seeing a little ghosting every now and then. Not a lot but enough that it
bothered me. Took it back and got the Sony with 12ms time.

OK, thanks ... that means that hopefully my LCD monitor can run it fine as
well. Hopefully it's some kind of a driver issue that I can resolve as it is
annoying to have the static screens stuffed up when you go into replay menu.
Not just that, but you can't really read the stretched and flickering text.

ps. I have benq FP71E. It's a 17" with 12ms response time and the game looks
awesome when you're actually driving ... it's just the menu screens with
text that are stuffed :-(

It would suck not to be able to run games at 1600x1200. That's why I
steer clear of LCD's.

it would suck not to be able to play these games on an 8ft screen, thats why
i avoid CRTs :)
