Nor does the Canadian government, it seems the UK has taken it upon
themselves to knight some Canadians against the wishes of the Canadian
governement.

I'm sad to see that if it's against the wishes of the Canadian government.
It shows a lack of respect.

I'm among the minority in the UK in wanting the honours system and the
Monarchy abolished.
