I spent a while playing the demo this afternoon, and I like it a lot
more than you did.
Definitely more fun than the recent Need For Speed games, mainly
because the control is better with a wheel (although FF is practically
nil).

I like the feel of the slides, arcadey as they may be. Really cool to
run way up into the corner, tap the brake, put it into a slide, and
just skim the outside wall all the way around the sweepers.
I hope DTR is this controllable, although SR2 makes it a bit to easy
to set the car in a slide by getting off and back into the throttle.

Anyone break the 1 minute barrier on the demo track?
I got 1'01"610 with the six speed Subaru, but I flubbed a couple times
every lap. 58 seconds seems do-able.

Sadly I wasted a wet Friday night playing it once. Did 5 years of the
Championship and I have to say there was no incentive to carry on. It would
have been nice to get new cars as you went along the years but no.. I could
choose any whenever I wanted.

I've been reading other posts on it, and it looks like I'm the only
sucker that likes it. Heh.
Now I know what it feels like to be the heretic -that one screwy guy
that likes Cart: Precision Racing or NASCAR Revolution.

I must say, that feeling sort of sucks. Oh well, back to trying to
beat my lap time.  =8^P

He i don't like it at all but who cares what i think about it as long as you
enjoy it all is fine. We don't all have to like the same thing glad there
are people with dif. taste, keeps the world a colorfull place.

Yep the graphics look as good as any other recent title but i think it's way
and i mean way to easy. Yep the 1min barier is easy to brake i tried it
three times and ended up somewhere around 55 sec or 56 dunno anymore could
have been faster but didn't enjoy it enough to put the time in went back to
gpl instead.

Enjoy your game and don't mind what others think

I'd just like to say, this is the most sane, reasoned post i've ever seen
here.

Don't be posting here again!

All of the other tracks are way cooler. Sega put out a really bad demo.
I've played the full pc version and own the dreamcast version. The demo is
not really a good indication of the full game.
