N1 questions or looking for a FAQ

by Tony and Christine Sai » Tue, 22 Jul 1997 04:00:00

I've been playing N1 for about 4 months now with a T2 wheel/pedal set up
and I've got a couple of questions.

The computer always puts me in the last pit stall when the book says it
should be random.  Anyone know how to fix this?

I've got no announcer or crowd sounds.  This may be a good thing, but
should I?  Both the driver and midi work when setting up, and I have the
little mini midi tune at the end of the game, and all the
car/skids/crashes (many) work fine.

Finally, I have the best luck by using both feet for driving.  Can I
move the brake pedal over to the empy slot on the T2 pedals where it
looks like a clutch should go? Can I install a clutch?

Has anyone figured out how to get a little more steering out of a T2?  I
mean 180 deg. lock to lock might work pretty well on Indy or GP, but it
just seems to make the steering too sensitive for a nascar.  Even when I
set the steering radius down low.  Just wish I could get closer to a
full turn out of the wheel.

I've checked out a couple of Nascar pages looking for a FAQ, but haven't
had any luck finding one.  Can you guys direct me to one?

Thanks in advance...

Mis-printed manual.  Hard to believe Papy is still getting flack on
this.  ;)

No.

You can move the pedal out, but N1 doesn't support clutches.

Try replacing the bungie-spring inside, with one of better quality.
This should tighten things up a bit.

Not sure exactly, but I believe you can find an N1 FAQ on The
Pits site:  http://www.theuspits.com

Cheers!
