Has anyone modified their T1 steering wheel so that you can shift with
buttons on the steering wheel like F1, instead of reaching down for the little
stub on the T1. If you have let me know how you did it and how well it worked. I'm
very interested in making this change because I dislike the feel of the T1's shifter.
I also haven't played Indy car racing except on a friends computer. What add ons and upgrades are available. How much are they if I decide to buy ICR.

                                Thanks John

I have a virtual pilot flight yoke and maxx rudder pedals. I use a y-adapter
which lets you have both a and b joysticks on at the sametime. What I do is
setup the accelerator/brake with my pedals, and use the right button on the
yoke for upshift and left for downshift. The yoke is very close to the shape
of the latest wheels used in F1 like Schumacher's benneton so it gives a
very realistic feeling because like F1 you never take your hands off the wheel
since you can shift by using the buttons. If u are playing ICR though there
is nothing more realistic than the T1 because ICR uses a shifter lever unlike
F1 cars. But for WC I felt the yoke was the way to go.

Anand.

There are two add-ons for ICR.  "Indianapolis Motor Speedway Expansion
Pack" includes the Indy 500 circuit and a Car PaintKit so that you can
alter the look of your car and the computer-controlled cars.  "IndyCar
Circuits Expansion Pack" adds seven more tracks.  Both add-ons update
ICR to v1.05 and include a replay editor and a car-setup printing utility.
I saw both add-ons at Babbages for $29.95 each, Electronics Boutique
$32.95 each.

Now all you need is another button on the yoke to simulate Schumacher's
traction control button, and it'll feel totally real!  *GRIN* *GRIN*
