2004 Winter Series Begins a New Era for the NWST

Hi All!

January 5th, 2004 marks a new era for the Northwest Simulation Tour
(NWST), a sim racing league for the serious sim racing enthusiast. The
NWST will be adopting NASCAR Racing 2003 (N2K3) Season for the upcoming
season. In addition to N2K3, the NWST will be offering drivers an ARCA
(for novice sim drivers), BGN (for moderately skilled sim drivers) and
CUP (for experienced sim drivers) divisions to compete. Unlike previous
years, sim drivers will be required to earn their way into these
divisions. The first opportunity available to sim drivers for qualifing
into ARCA, BGN and CUP divisions is by participating in the 2004 Winter
Series.

The 2004 Winter Series consists of four races. Each drivers performance
will be rated in each race on a scale of 0-4, see
http://www.racesimcentral.net/
more information on the performance rating (PR) system. Drivers that
achieve an average PR between 1.0 and 1.999 will earn their way into the
N2K3 BGN division. Drivers that achieve an average PR of 2.0 or greater
will earn their way into the N2K3 CUP division. Only sim drivers that
participate in the 2004 Winter Series are eligible to participate in the
first race of the 2004 season at Daytona.

Participation in the 2004 Winter Series is not mandatory. The NWST
welcomes sim drivers at any time during the sim racing season. Sim
drivers that want to participate in the NWST 2004 regular season, but
not the Winter Series, are welcome to do so beginning with the second
race of the season.

Sim drivers that start in ARCA or BGN divisions are not "stuck" in these
divisions for the entire season. Sim drivers can move into a higher
division by earning a performance rating of 3.0 or higher, a huge
achievement indeed.

For sim drivers that have a passion for truck racing, the NWST will also
be offering an N2K3 CTS (open division) for just these sim racing
enthusiasts. The NWST also supports NASCAR Racing 3 sim drivers and will
be providing an HCGR and BGN divisions.

The 2004 season is about to begin, don't miss a beat and register to
race with the NWST at http://www.racesimcentral.net/
