SCGT: lobby EA for "damage"!

SCGT: lobby EA for "damage"!

I received an email from Gjon Camaj, developer of SCGT, stating that they had
a version of the game which showed car damage, but "EA's agreements prevent us
from releasing this version".  Perhaps a lobbying campaign for inclusion of
this is warranted?

Oh, if it hasn't already been mentioned, he told me that both the dual-axis
fix and a gear indicate in the***pit are in the release version.

Why should we nag EA about getting visual damage?  If you are going to nag
someone, go nag the car companies like BMW and PANOZ and MERCEDES.  THEY
don't want to see their beautiful machines crushed up into little balls of
metal so they asked not to have them in it.  It isn't EAs fault for not
having it in the game.  And also, if you made the fastest racing sedan in
the world, would you like to have a game model it getting damaged?  Great
marketing campaign.

I'd rather see half-decent FF support.

But some of the companies allowed damage to be shown in TOCA and TOCA2, right?

Personally, I wouldn't care.  Gee, if you race a car and hit a brick wall, it
gets damaged.  Guess I wouldn't buy *that* car.  Give me a break.  Do you
really believe that, or are you just arguing to read yourself in print?
