Post sites for setups please!!

by Shane Down » Fri, 04 Oct 1996 04:00:00

Could someone please post some more sites in order for me to obtain some
sound (good) setups for my car.  I would like it to run more
competitively at 100% opponents.  Do I have a restrictor plate?  And how
would I remove it?  I have heard it mentioned alot in this group.

Thanks

Shane

You can get setups from my site, even for non-restrictor plate races.  The
address is below.  To remove the plate, open the taladega.txt file, and
change the 1 next to spdwy to a 0.

Shane,

Check out Jan Kohl's Quik Setup guide.  It's not a bunch of canned
setups that some guy supposedly ran super laps in, and you try it and
can only run 2 ways: sideways and backwards in the wall...

The quik setup guide enables you to take one of those setups (or the
ACE setup, if you will), and tweak it to the weather settings that
you're racing against that day.

I have found that there are basic setups that I start from, and almost
every time, if I want to be competitive at 100% and beyond, I have to
"setup the car" to meet those demands, or run in the back of the pack.

You can find his setup guide at the pits:  http://www.theuspits.com
and I have it setup at http://camalott.com/~sean/nascar/quikset.htm

for a bunch of setups, you can head to Eric Busch's setups. (you can
reach it from http://camalott.com/~sean/nascar/nascar.htm)

hope that helps!

I'd like to take this in a somewhat different direction--where can I find
ICR2 setups as well as setups for converted Indy or NASCAR tracks, such as
a NASCAR Brickyard setup?
