OT: Carmageddon 2 need tech help

I just bought Carmageddon 2, and so far I cant get the game to start.  It says
CARMA2_HW.exe page fault error.  Can any of you guys help me?  I'm TRYING to
run it on a P3 500 256 megs of ram, and 16 meg TNT video card.
