NSF:PU configuration

by Ian Argen » Thu, 01 Jan 2004 04:55:15

I'm trying to set up a new wheel in NFS:PU and I'm having a big problem -
the pointer lags atrociusly, and often won't pick up mouse clicks at all.
This only happens in the controller config main screen - if I switch to
(say) the FF config screen or the video config, I don't ahv ethis problem.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi Ian:

This happened to me when I was switching
wheels.

Make sure the wheel you have selected in the
control panel is the same wheel you have selected
on NFS/PU's control screen.  And make sure that's
the wheel that is plugged into you computer.

    Good luck.

It was like that on my PC to. You just have to be patient when you set up
things. Finally it will respond to your frenetic mouseclick's. :)
I didn't se it as a big problem. You don't go into the setup menus all the
time do you?
I had a MSFF wheel and it was like that on W2k and WinXP.

I have a Momo force wheel and WinXP and I had exactly the same problem.  I
never did find a solution so I just lived with it.

Thanks for your input - I was somewhat afraid that would be the case.

Anyone ever contact EA about it?

I don't think this happens in Win9x and EA's viewpoint is that NFS PU is not
compatible with W2k and WinXP.

Jone.
