Well, Alison and her brother Nate built a stunning Cobra replica from
Factory Five. It seemed cheap enuf to begin with, but of course then there
were teething problems. Typical Alison, she lasered in on the problem, and
after a lot of Pi-in-the-sky theory, some computer simulations (using a
hacked version of GPL), some real-world feedback from Doug Arnao (who was my
setup guru when I was writing the GPL guide), and a lot of cut n' try, she
now has a Cobra that handles almost as well as her Ferrari in GPL!!! She
gave me a ride in it at the Glen, and the suspension holds on like Super
PoliGrip. Soooo, if you wanted to go that route, Alison, Nate & Doug have
already done all the engineering you should need...and I'm sure it would be
welcome at the PVGP.
