PC Health Scheduler problems

by The Drive » Thu, 26 Jul 2001 20:32:03

I`ve just stuck on Windows Mill, and it`s ok, just one little problem though
and thats the  PC Health Scheduler program, as it keeps interupting what I`m
doing, the default setting is for every 10 mins, which I`ve change for 1 on
Crimbo day, but it seems to make up it`s own mind and change that sometimes
for every 10mins again...........?
This is most annoying, as every 4/5 laps of germany and the computer caches
shit loads...........?
I`ve tried deletting it, but it puts it back every time windows
re-boots........?
I`ve tried to dissable tasks.... but that does the other progam not this
one...
Does anybody know how to fix it for good, either to delete it... or
something, as its making my computer look shit !

Thanks in advance

Go to msconfig & turn it off.  (Run msconfig, or get to it via Programs >
Accessories > System Tools > System Information > System Configuration,
etc., etc.  That's W98; ME may be slightly different.)

Hi, in WinME, to disable System Restore right click the My Computer
icon/Properties/Performance/File System button/and in the file system
proprties look to put a check mark in "disable System Restore", I think
you'll need to reboot....This might help to troubleshoot to see if this is
causing your problems. Be aware tho, that you will not be able to restore
any older verions of your sys any longer. Lots of good folks and info at
alt.windows.me for this subject, I've never tried to set the schedule
myself, but i would like to know if it could be set for "convenient' times.
