Could someone in the know explain the damage modelling in GTR2002 for me?

There is nothing in the readme and I am not sure what I should have the
in-game settings set to...or whether it even makes a difference.

Thanks,

Marc

With the F1 2k1 version: FIA GT V3.  The first thing we did was lower the
damage settings to 20%.  The last you want is to rub a fender with another
car and rip your wheel off.   That suggestion was part of the FIA readme.  I
just assumed GTR was basically the same and lowered my damaged slider down
right away.

Interesting: my GTR2002 has the damage multiplier adjustment from F12002
removed and therefore you cannot set the damage level.  You can set
mechanical failures on or off.

What damage do you get?

It is very forgiving in my opinion, though it may not be able to be adjusted
(programmed) for a similar reason to GT V3.

Whoops!  Sorry about that....crossing my mods.  I know I did that
for at least ONE of the dang things...but you are right.  The Damage setting
is not available.  Hmmm I guess it's time to pester the Simbin crew over at
their forums.
sorry about the confusion...whaddya expect from an +89.5 gplerrank???

Side impacts are forgiving...Nose/tail impacts seem less so...
