Street Rod 2

Street Rod 2

I know that Street Rod 2 is an old game and I haven't played it at my house for
a couple years as my computer became too fast for me to effectively play it.
But my neighbor has a 486-40 and it runs on that computer quite well and we
have been playing it a lot the last few days. What I want to know is if there
were ever any patches or modifications made to it. There are a few things I
would like to change on it, the same stuff I didn't like about it six years
ago. But it is overall a good game and still keeps interested in a
different kind of racing game while I am playing NASCAR and IndyCar 2 on my
Pentium at the house.

I thought this was a great game and I enjoyed it  forever on my old
386sx25. But alas with P60 it just seems old. If only a good company would
make another version and maybe included newer muscle cars like from the
late 60's and early 70's. T2 support would be great also. Did you ever try
SR1? I bought a copy for 5 bucks at Kaybee toys and it wouldn;t work due
to the fact that the store had bought bootleg copies and the manual wasn't
complete and it was copy protected. It had old coupes and the like.

I bought SR1 a while back for $5 at Target, and it didn't have any
copy protection.  Maybe if enough of us drag racing fans ask nicely :)
the folks at Papyrus could make NHRA Racing . . . . Rick . .um. .Mr.
Genter? . . . .

I had a hard time finding SR 2, but once I did, I didn't put it down, I
still run it on a P75, with no problems with it being to fast. I would
definatly love to see a newer version of Street Rod coming out, but if you
are a fan of 60's/70's racing, I read that Papyrus was working on a new
game based on the open wheeled racecars when the men drove the cars
instead of the other way around.  Don't know if anyone can confirm this or
not though.
