Sorry if this is a redundant post.
 I cannot seem to get the chat feature of Nascar2 to work. Nothing I
type shows in the chat screen regardless of whether I click on the little
cursor or not.  The  little cursor turns yellow then white and nothing.
 No echoing of keystrokes, nothing at all. Would this have anything to do
with a bad connect( I had nothing but bad conns on Kahn)? Anybody please?
  On a similar note, I was never able to get a better latency than .28
on Kahn and it was unplayable. In fact my conn was so bad that when I'd show
up at the race the others would comment "oh shit he's back". I'd be sittin
on the track.no one to be seen, watching the F-2 screen tell me that I;m
5 laps down when I'm just gettin the green. I am supposing that they could
see me and I was track hazard! Sorry guys. It sure aint Hawaii!

A friend of mine and I couldn't get the chat to work either during
modem-to-modem play...  well, my friend could (the caller)....  but I (the
answerer) had the same problem that you describe...  I'd click, press enter,
try "alt", etc.   but I could never enter any text...  My friend on the calling
machine said he clicked on the angle bracket, and then got a flashing "edit
bar"...

I could use the "auto-chat macros" during a race though...  

Anyone have any ideas regarding the chat screen for the answerer???  Or is this
just "yet-another-bug" in multiplayer ??

Have you tried clicking to the right of the little backwards L-bracket (I'm
guessing this is what you are referring to as the cursor)? It's a
brain-dead user interface, but that's what we've got to work with.
