No it is not a costum job..but I don't know where you can buy one
either.  I got one from he computer store where I work. If anyone wants
one, please e-mail me and I'll see if I can get some more in.

I'm not much of a techy, but the way it works is you hold it
infront of you.  It is not attached anywhere except for the joystick
port.  It is very light, so holding it for long periods of time is not a
problem.  I have played for hours on end with little fatique in my
arms...just my mind form the racing.

The wheel is of course a circle, but it has the smarts in a bar
accros the lower middle wich doubles as a stiffining bar. near the top,
but still almost inside the cirlce, are two buttons that are used for up
and down shifting.  This works just like a semi automatic trandmision and
in F1GP it is insanely awsome.  The two buttons sit flush with the wheel
and are located where your thumbs would land naturely if driving at ten
and two.
Inside, the movement is convaid via mercury switches.  They
detect analog movement on both axis.  A great idea if you ask me.
The game works great in F1GP, but I found it a little touchy in
ICR, but with a little practice, the feel is total realism.  F1GP also
takes a little getting used to, but it is well worth adapting due to the
natural feel of steering through the corners.

It runs for about $60-$80 dollars, but I would have to check the
store to be sure.  Again if anyone is interested in this item...I will
see about getting some more.

Oh ya, it is called the FREEWHEEL, and is put out by a company
called LOGIC3 I believe.
