Hi guys,

I'm still trying to get a license in GT.  I can't even get the B-1 test
completed!  The braking test (B-1) seems impossible!  I accelerate as fast as
possible and shortly after I hit the 900m marker, I slam on the brakes and come
to a complete stop right after the finish line... perfect... but the time is
always a few tenths of a second over the 36 sec time limit.  What gives!  What
else can I do?  HELP!

Later,
Marcus

You are braking too early and probably sliding and locking up.

Use manual gears to accelerate quicker. Put the brakes on at about 940-50m
and change down gears as you do so.

Check your starting technique! I have found that revving the engine to the
limiter isn't the best method of getting away from the line. Try only
revving it to 5-6000rpm.

Brake later.
For all the tests, there is a demo replay file accessible from the main menu.
Hate to tell you this, but the tests get harder :-)  It took me a ton of tries
to get a couple of the A license runs completed succesfully. But it's worth
the effort.

Keep plugging :) Wait until you try some of the A license trials. Many times
I wanted to throw the controller through the TV..but perserverance pays off
:)

You say that you come to a complete stop right after the finish line,
does that mean you are not stopping in the finish line zone which is a
requirement. When my youngest son was playing, he was stopping right
after the stop zone which is wrong.

The optimum time is achieved when you brake at a point where you cross
the finish line at the fastest speed possible (without crossing the back
line, of course). I made it after having a couple of beers, maybe that
would help, too :o)

Exactly. My son did the same thing.
